Greetings all...Does anyone know about any Jackson Vinnie Vincent Vee's that were painted with the second "V" in gold instead of silver pearl? I think I've seen pics of it, but maybe someone like Sully can verify? If so, any idea how many were made if at all? Thanks

"Just because they're making 'em doesn't mean the value of the originals will take a hit."
Provided you aren't looking to get more than a custom ordered one would cost.
There is no special serial # associated with that series like the LTD or PCS. 1 is just as good as the other (IMO).
And IMO, if they re-issued the LTD, it would damage that market drastically. Half the drive in that market is Rhoads fans, not just guitar collectors. They don't care what the serial # says.
And if a re-issued LTD was more accurate than the original, look out...

Hey Sully, possible 04 with the VVV?

I completely disagree with this statement. That's like saying the 59 Les Pauls aren't worth as much because they make reissues...or 62 Strats...or even LTD's and PCS's. Remember the few NAMM custom RR serial #'s LTD and PCS models out there - they sell for at least a grand less than the real LTD and PCS serial'd guitars. For Vinnie Vincent (and Jackson guitar) collectors, the original run will always command the most money. If anything, history has shown that reissues actually drive up the price of the originals since a whole new audience gets exposed to the guitar.
I'd welcome a 25th aniversary (of Randy's death) LTD reissue, and I'll be the first in line to get one.
