Only thing I'd change if you aren't going to paint it, is to remove that "binding" strip at the end of the body - being just outlined flames that end piece gives me the impression of a cowboy - don't know why, but it's just got some sort of western vibe to it like that.
Great job on the flames though

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Nope... Practice makes permanent... You can be practicing the wrong thing, would you consider that perfect? Then try to un-learn what you have learned... I dare ya...
Wow! I actually posted something that elicited some responses...Thanks a lot for the compliments. Mark, you can modify the pic any way you want. The white additions you made look killer! No, I won't try and paint it although I like what Mark did. I just wanted to outline the guitar in the HRF motif. I picked up the pinstriping at Autozone. I just made sure that the surface was clean as heck and went at it, constantly staring at that 79 strathead picture. It was much easier than I figured it'd be. This body was laying around gathering dust so it made a perfect canvas to practice on. Newc, which part are you talking about? I think I know what you mean; kind of like a cowboy lasso thing? Anyway, thanks again. When I get this one all put together, I'll post more pics. I'm making it for my daughter, Courtney (8).
AS I said, the HRF guitar I'm building is for my daughter, Courtney. I think she'd look much better with the HRF than in this pic w/ a Schecter C-7, dontcha think?
oooohhh...this looks like a good place to show off our kids! Tom, you're gonna have to get Courtney down here! These two are gonna hit it off great! The last time you saw Elizabeth she was in my wifes belly! She's 3 now, and if I must say so she has a lot better taste in guitars than Courtney! J/K bro!
