yeah, i don't like the jack, either, and i believe they just kinda stuck it somewhere b/c there was no real good place for it.

That's really cool that they used your design!
Did you win the contest? What's the prize? Good thing you didn't have a current Custom order that specifies that, or we'd be in another Zamiale-style sh|tstorm!

i love pcs sharks over full size ones, tho. looks cleaner to me.

The sharks are fine, the jack location does kinda blow though. they could have been more creative than that - I would have put it recessed on the back somewhere.

I agree. It would work for me if was on the outside of the lower horn.

The obvious thing is that I would accidentally break the cutouts off within 1.5 weeks of buying it.

It so needs to be a production model.

I will be the odd ball here. I do not like it. I like the finish and the inlays, that's it.

thanks for the post dude ! but **** that thing is butt ugly , maybe it's just the front jack thing I hate it . Fender dudes please just a normal 24 fret rr usa and import , painted bevels or something but those cutins would last 5 mins on stage with me before they would chip or break in less it's made out of oak lol //Steve

Re: NAMM teaser

Love the cutouts and the finish (although it seems dirty lol) but dont like the jack.
Didnt really notice the sharkfins.
But then again, if its only a one off, they can do mad stuff and get the public opinions on more than one thing. Like so far, Jackson know the general consensus is that the jack is unpopular in that position, that the colour divides opinion, that the cutouts rule and that the smaller sharkfins arent too popular.
See, thats four R&D points already, that might've taken four separate guitars (and four seperate budgets)
But its cool though. Not overly keen on gold hardware on pointy guitars. It suits archtop electrics better.

Re: NAMM teaser

Really cool but that jack has to go. Whoever put the jack there need an appropriate application of the JCF patented nut-noose.

That jack location smacks of the "fender corp" nut noose...
Pretty cool...like the color!

A very beautiful guitar, but it needs a little help:
