Ralph....Sorry to hear about Grandma. My wifes grandmother (who has stayed with us for the past 4 months), died of lung cancer last Thursday. The funeral is this Tuesday..... Strange coincidence.
She was a great lady...Loved her to death! Another big reason why I can't stand cigarette smoking. This is the 3rd family member I've seen die from smoking. Any of you JCF'ers who smoke...Please quit.
Thanks again for the pics. I'd like a close up shot of the Chlorine soloist if ya got one. Is that a H/s?
GREAT PICTURES!
Now I want to say, I am so sorry to hear about your grandmother.
The coolest morment hapening to Jackson/Charvel in the history and this such a terrible thing to happen to your family...
I have questions about this NAMM.
1.Did they have new catalogs of Jackson and Charvel?
2.Did they have updated price list available?
3.How was the reaction from people who attended the Charvel/Jackson booth this year? It looks the greatest Summer NAMM in years for Jackson/Charvel.
There were no new catalogs, only 2003 leftovers.
There was a price list, but I don't know if it includes the 15% increase for this year.
I'll scan it and post it.
As for the reaction, from what I saw they were very busy with "serious" dealers more than "kids coming to look" like at the ESPee and Ibenhad booths. The buyers were getting serious about the EVHs. Saw a lot of Asian-market buyers (Ibekki or whatever from Japan, a guy from Singapore, some others from Japan (didn't catch the store name)
If nothing else, the Japanese *cough*Akira?*cough* will be snapping the EVHs up fast.
Also, the Charvel P.O. Box on the plate is now 245!! There was one that had 215, but they were able to get the 245 box registered and the other neckplates stamped with it.
That's soooo Metal! :bang:
Newc
I want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood
The most human thing we can do is comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable.
Sorry about your grandmother, Ralph. My condolences.
Great pics though! I see what you guys are saying about the Stars...they look so cool I dug my old '80 Star body out of the closet! I'm just kind of staring at it imagining it with a pointy neck on it....
Speaking of which, anybody got any old 22-fret R5 pointies they wanna part with ? Anybody? Bueller?
Ralph...had a great time at NAMM man!
I'm sorry you had to cut the trip a little short...Amy just lost her grandfather a week ago...it's been a tough time. Hope the trip back was quick for you both. Amy says hi to you and Sherry (sp?).
We've gotta get you both out here sometime soon!
