The 2 guitars looked almost exactly the same. I'll try to find pics in my old magazine tomorrow. The funny thing is that on his ESP, when he switched to Jackson, he hid the ESP logo with black scotch tape . The good old days when major and most influential players switched from ESP to Jackson .

Sly, I remember seeing the electrical tape now that you mention it, thats what you have to do when you have an endoresment.

Hmm, I guess that's what Jeff Hanneman had to do when he jumped ship from Jackson to ESP. I used to have a live shot of Jeff with tape covering the logo on his Soloist.

yeah a guitar world issue had the History of thrash and I saw Scott's ESP Not.

I heard it was a jackson, but judging by how small the logo was (they ripped off of jackson's h/s back then), thats the only was I knew what it was. Other than the strange trussrod cover and placement of the floyd style bar-string retainer...even though the ESP Not was a tunomatic bridged setup...

Heres Dan with the Ninja Turtle Soloist, (that was lost in the fire) and Scott with the NOT ESP "thats at the hard rock" its says ESP at the 12th fret. I have a close up of some I took in person, I'll post them soon.

                    Re: Anthrax and Jackson

I hate the new anthrax stuff it's by far not on par with the old school stuff..

John's voice doesn;t cut live he misses every single high pitched phrase, he was very cool with amored saint but he simple doesn;t fit with anthrax!

All the songs sound the same with this semi-low pitched monotonous, boring whiny voice...

The riffs aren;t there anymore a single exception here or there given..

There's no polka beats anymore no killer chorusses...shame they are still one of my alltime favs (the pre 91 stuff!)!

Here is the pic of the not ESP with ESP logo hidden.

And an other picture with the daffy duck randy, and a judge dred ESP.

Sorry if the pics are crappy, but I don't have a scanner, I had to take pics with my digital camera.

I think they've gone downhill since Spreading The Disease...

They're not even worth much discussion these days.

Just to share a quick story. I actually went to the filming of the Indians video when Among the Living came out. I think it was somewhere in Jersey City. This was before I knew what moshing actually was. So the slow intro to the song started and everything was going okay until the song picked up...and that's when all hell broke loose in the place. I had no idea what was going on. I got hit in areas of my body that I didn't even know existed. That was my intro to moshing and I was hooked from then on. Sorry if I bored anyone.
