Re: Anthrax and Jackson

PM me an address and I'll send the pix. I agree that Spreading was their best - Fistful rates high too. Something about the production on Among The Living that I don't like. When it came out I did like it alot though ... but now??? I really like White Noise & V8 as far as the new stuff is concerned. Lots of good material on those 2 disks. I still go see them when they come through .. hoping to hear Panic, Medusa, Metal Thrashing Mad, Gung Ho, AIR, etc....

Thats true, in the 2003 Guitar Player with jeff Beck (The light blue issue with Jeff supporting his album Jeff), Scott Ian bashes (more of less) Danny, saying that Charlie wrote all of Danny's classic solos and dictated them to Danny.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">So true. Basically, Charlie writes the music (predominantly from what I've heard), Scott & Bush write the lyrics. Charlie even played some of the solos on V8 & Stomp442. Those 2 albums are some of the finest penned in the hard rock genre IMHO....

That's certainly true now, but Scott is talking smack as usual regarding Danny. I used to know those guys and nobody told Danny how to play guitar. Scott and Charlie just decided they wanted more control so backstabbed Danny out of the band just as they had done to Joey a couple years before.
Charlie and Scott are two of the most double talk forked tounged slimeballs you may ever meet. Don't believe a damn thing you read that these two jerkoffs say about the early years. Ask Danny, Joey, and Frankie for the truth.
I was there.

We had to get a licensing agreement from WB to do those guitars. It was limited to 2 pieces. The matrix code (body & 12th fret) came from the 3D movie posters. It took 3 posters to do both pieces.

Hey, these are the guys that Decoupaged comic book characters to their guitars, so doing the same with a 3D movie poster can't be any different

I still dig anthrax. Sound of white noise is excellent. So is Stomp 442. I have all their cd's with bush. New album has some cool cuts too. I saw them a couple years ago with megadeth and crew. They had the first slot that night, they were kickass. They are still a great band, its sad to hear so many peole dis them cause they don't sound the same as every album they have ever made. I will drive to see them if the get within a couple of hundered miles of here.

Yeah it's funny how people slam a band for not sounding the same on every album, but then bash another band for sounding the same and never changing (case in point, it's bad for Yngwie to put out the exact same album over and over, but good when somebody like Slayer or The Misfits does it?)

Why do you hope not, it's not YOUR guitar. LOL!!! Anyway, yeah it's the 3-D hologram from the poster - it's a heavy film. It's the same weight as the stuff they used on the Dan Fastuca custom we had at NAMM. Believe me, it came out KILLER!

I think Anthrax are still cool. I didn't dig the cross over rap stuff, but that was 20 years ago. In the past few years they've put out some great singles/b-sides - unfortunately, most of them are imports.
