Re: Question On The Jackson Sustainer System

I'm not sure, but I think it can only be in the neck position because of shielding problems. If you look at the pickup config. on PC1's, you'll notice that the middle pickup is closer to the bridge humbucker than the neck pickup. And, the sustainer pickup has a metal shield wrapped around the side exposed to the middle pickup. So, I think the sustainer would cause too much havoc in the middle position with the field it generates.

Re: Question On The Jackson Sustainer System

Damn, so far cool info. Ya'll have been very helpful. Reason I asked is that I'm the closest I've ever been to ordering my custom shop Rhoads that I've wanted for appx 5 years. The sustainer system sounded like it would be cool and useful, so I wanted to find out more on it. Again, thanks for all the replies

Brian (BTB007) nailed it...the sustainer needs to be kept as far away as possible.
