jackson 7 string

ok i found a jackson 7 string w/reverse headstock and reverse sharkfins in a pawn shop for $325. condition of overall guitar is excellent finish wise even has no fretwear. only problem i found was the neck was bowed real bad. action was real high due to the bow.
my question is: is it worth it to buy it for that price and can it be fixed? or another neck bought?

I think I have seen these for little lower on E-bay.
You should check E-bay.
Maybe you will find better deal.

I recommend better to keep your Model 5.
It also depends on how bad you want one of these 7 string guitars.
I think Tekky bought one off E-bay for less than $200 couple of months ago.

that would be it, just like the one i saw. and while i would like to have a 7 string i dont think i want it that bad. thanks for your help. thats part of the good thing about being on this forum,something i am not sure about i can ask and get honest answers

Thats too high ...Evilbay has jackson 7's all the time for way less..plus if you dont like a thick neck dont get a jackson 7..

never ever trade an pre 1990 import charvel for something like that, especially a model 5 or 6 or 650 or 750...

The neck isn't thick, it's just wide.

I just got a DR7 myself a few weeks ago. The neck is definitely NOT thick by 7-string standards, though it is wider than the Ibanez 7-string necks.

Overall, mine is a decent little guitar for the money--Now that I've upgraded the pickups, it has a pretty nice tone.

I got mine, and I paid just under $300 for it. The deal with buying a Jackson DR7 or DX7 on eBay is to be patient. Watch for any new auctions and don't bid over your price.
