  • Anyone got their fretboard scalloped at jackson?

Im wondering because my custom that I ordered will have the entire fretboard scalloped and from looking at this pic of someone elses, its not done evenly.

I know it doesnt matter that much because your finger isnt touching the wood anyway, but it doesnt look good.

There has been some discrepancy wether that guitar was a factory job or not. A friend of mine owns that guitar and I can't believe that it's factory. It's a decent job, but not for Jackson. One of the Sharkies was actually broken through to the ebony below it. The guitar is a late 80's soloist in Yellow. I think there may have been a post about this a few months ago. You might be able to find it with the search function.

Also remember that there are multiple styles of scallops, and that typically, the deepest section of the scallop is nearest the fret, so the scallop is asymetrical.

If any at all, I'd do it from the 12th up only and very light.
