I know that this is not Jackson related but it's Randy related and I just had to tell all of you!!!
Man,
Last night was a night to never forget!!! My business partner (Joey) tells me that he has a surprise for me for my birthday. He tells me to meet him at the Hard Rock Cafe. So I get there and I sit at the table. It was very strange because there were a bunch of people sitting at the table that I did not know. I thought, "Man, this is strange.... why so many people here for my b-day that I don't know". Anyway, next thing you know this man comes and sits in front of me and Joey says, "Do you know this man?" I look at him like of course i do, but I can't place his name.... I was perplexed. Well, the man says, "Hi, I'm Karl Sandoval.".... Well, I start freaking..... He sits down and we start to talk and he presents to me a picture of him holding Randy's infinished v in a nice picture frame. I was excited! I was in heaven and nothing could have been better. I asked him what he was doing here and he said he was here for a conference. Next thing you know he says to me, "This is not all... we have more... close your eyes." Next thing you know i'm opening a guitar case.... inside of it is #11 of a 25 limited edition series run of Sandoval v's for the 25th anniversary of the making of Randy's original V in 1979!!!!!! It was for me!!! Shit!!!! Man, I have to say that that guitar is BEAUTIFUL and plays like heaven! He also gave me a few autographed pictures, a certificate, picture frame with another certificate, shirt! So, from then on I learn that my business partner flew in Karl and his wife JUST to give me the guitar.. there was no conference!!! Wow! He (Karl) was so nice to do this (of course kudo's to Joey)! Karl also presented the Hard Rock Cafe with a big frame with a certificate and pictures. The room was packed with all kinds of people. It felt like a press conference.
So today is Saturday and I'm taking Karl and his wife (Anita) to go eat Colombian Food (that's where i'm from). Tonight we are coming over to my house and hang out. I will show him my studio, guitars, and chill!!!! Wow!
