It seems like Villa Park and the Chicago western suburbs get mentioned on these boards alot. How many JCFers are current or former residents?

I'm from Lockport. My band practices in Elmhurst (Good Times Pub) which is pretty close to Villa Park.
Maybe we can all meet at the Sept. guitar show? Who else is planning on going? Anyone? Class? Anyone?
Does anyone have any connections that maybe can get us JCF'ers in before the public, that would be sweet. [img]/images/graemlins/headbang.gif[/img]

the good times pub used to be a place called mcgregor's in the 80s. i've played there as a teen many many times. one time we got paid in record store gift certificates! [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

Sully: I played once at mcgregor's back in the early 80's. We opened for RISK [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]
Tekky: While I live in the burbs, I hang out downtown for drinks, usually EXIT, NEO and CLUBFOOT.
My band will be playing in Villa Park this Saturday at a place called Demito Time Bar and Grill which is located on East Kenilworth. We have a new drummer and bass player (which only practiced with us once) so it's going to be an interesting show.

pjg: The gig went ok, the crowd (all 30 of them) seemed to have a good time. We play Jenny-Jenny and all these biker dudes went up by the stage and started to sing along. I thought they were going to kink my ass [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img] I myself felt that I had an off night and with two members finding their way through the songs, well, **you get the picture**. We're booked again for a Friday in Sept, I'll let you know so we can meet up!
