• Has the 15% increased pricing started yet?

I read here that it was supposed to be in effect "at the end of the month" last month. So, we're well into August. No need to quote prices, just a simple confirmation from JCFers with very recent buying experience or dealers who have recently sold some Jacksons would be great. Thank you! I think yes.
Even the custom shop quote on Jackson website, pricing is $200-300 more than before.

What I think is if there is one in stock already and probably it still has the old price.
If you have to order one, then the new price applys.

August 1st, but I think Toru may be right in that guitars that were in stock before then have the old pricing.

Any guitars that were in stock prior to the 8/1 increase were purchased at the old prices. Some dealers raise their prices on old inventory whenever there's a price increase but I still have my guitars that were in stock before the price increase, at the old prices.

I was between a New San Dimas Charvel or a New Carvin Carved Top or a New Fender Strat Hardtail HH, but I think the 15% increase on the Charvels have sealed it for me, I for one am not happy with that much of an increase, especially at one shot, I think that is a bad move on Fenders part. no offense to the dealers on here, it is you guys that may pay for the increase in sales, but I hope not, but how many feel the way I do? Jack.

I totally agree. I was going to order another custom shop soloist, but I'm gonna pass on the idea now.Pretty much makes a $2500 guitar $3000 now.

Yeah but Jacksons are like Petrol... even if the price is growing... will that make you stop buying them? I dont think so and Fender HQ know that.

There is NO price increase on Charvels, just Jacksons.

15% increase on USA Jacksons and a 5% increase on imports.

So go order that Charvel.

Charvel just had their price list recently by the Winter NAMM(2004).
If they would increase the Charvel list price already, I would be very surprised.
IMO, 2K list for a solid color bolt on is already at high price.
So I wish this doesn't go too much in the future.

It won't make me stop buying them........USED, like most of my guitars. New guitar prices are insane from all manufacturers. Why buy a new LPC for $2600 when you can get a mint used one for $1600 or less. I'll save the thousand bucks and swallow the fact that I wasn't the original owner. The only "new" guitars in my future are the JCF series models unless something extraordinary comes along.

Yes, i agree, used Jacksons are some of the best deals on the market, but there is something special about a New USA Charvel that you order. Jack.

With that kind of increase on Charvels, I just go over to my Custom Shop and grab some Warmoth bodies and necks and start putting them together. It comes out exactly the way I like, style, color everything. I don't need the headstock to say "Charvel" at this point.

What's special about the new USA Charvel?! Please don't tell me that it's because the old luthiers are back in the workshop.
