Gongrats! Awesome guitar! It's great to see that there's still unique old Jacksons popping up. I'm waiting for an 80s zebra custom King V or neckthru star to show up somewhere...
I remember Knut Koupee.
Karl Dedolph owned it.
I remember The Regieme and I remember The Mirage.
I never saw any of the guitarists playing that though.
Man, there sure are alot on MN guys here.
Great story and a very cool guitar.
Congrats.
Man, that is a killer guitar. And a great story. Congrats!
I, too, am still searching for a personal holy grail. I spotted it new in a local music shop in the 80s. Unfortunately, it already had a "sold" tag on it. If I ever find that baby - assuming she still exists - I'll be bouncing off the walls.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Karl Dedolph and Jeff Hill were partners up until around 1986. Jeff then sold his Knut Koupee interests off and moved to San Diego (the END of the store IMHO). Ross Clay was the founder of Regime and used this guitar and other Jacksons until he left the band in the early 90's????
THANKS everyone for all of the great comments. I thought you would enjoy seeing this.

Is that Kahler countersunk into the body? I assume it is original to the guitar. Pretty neat because they probably used an already made body and had to do that to make the Kahler sit at the correct height.
Killer guitar. These early ones are quite rare to see.
