to me that guitar looks like the red was an after thought. it looks like it was supposed to be a black/white version, but then they switched gears to the red. Personally, I think a group of blindfolded kindergardeners on a pixie stix & kool aid jag armed with 3 cans of crylon and some masking tape could have painted that better than eddie did. I noticed the same thing about the red looking like it was added last. For that type of money I would want the paint to be more like the original.

Guys, these aren't meant to be exact replicas of the originals. They're new paint jobs hand striped by EVH, inspired by the old designs. From that perspective, they're NEW originals.

They've all been cool so far, but I especially dig this one. Not enough to pony up that kind of dough, mind you. But it's very cool nonetheless.

i kinda think that paint job is pretty cool. i think he meant to make the red look like an add on just to show of the black and white stripe design.

The guitar itself I like (single hum bolted to the body, non-recessed Floyd, & maple board). I definately do not like the paint job on that one.

As I have stated before for what I would get does not justify the price for me.
