Some of you may have seen my post 5 weeks ago about how i ordered a custom jackson kv2 from kevin at easton guitars. That was july 15 and he turned the order in to them the next day. They still havent given him any confirmation or price quote on it and its been nearly 6 weeks. Im getting fed up and am close to canceling the order and buying an esp or ibanez. Anyone else had problems with them taking so long with orders?

Probably because July 15th was right before NAMM and they were busy.
What kind of custom order do you have?
Matt at Matt's or Vwall's Scott would get a hold of thier reps and confirm price within couple of days.
I don't know why it takes 6weeks and no sign.Comment

Anyways, why are you blaming Fender? They don't issue price quotes for Jacksons, Jackson does.

Seeing as you wanted a Custom Shop Jackson, wouldn't it make more sense to go with GMW if you cancel the Jackson order? I think you would at least still be able to get a custom KV2.KV DM PRO, SLSXMG, RRXMG, DXMG, LP P90 Goldtop_GSP1101_RM4: JF SL-OD100_Randall RT2/50_Peavey 4x12 cab

Six weeks! Your making me tear up. It's been almost 9 months since we ordered Big Red JCF -02. Custom shop guitars were invented to teach people the art of waiting without bitching. I'm sure they will get to it. But blame it on Jackson, there building it not Fender.Comment

Yeah, your guitar might not have been made with the right wood (they were out of the right wood for JCF02 for a while), or it may have been coated or painted incorrectly.
Then again they probably built you a Double Rhoads and had to start over [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

I believe if I read his post right, he was just asking for a QUOTE, not even the damn thing built.
Yes, the Fender/Jackson discussion gets old, however, I know Fender is Fender, and Jackson is Jackson, and Fender has other subsidaries, however his anger is not misdirected. Most of the employees, were not carried over in the transition. That's all I'm saying man, it's the same brand, but different figure heads, and strangely enough though, it seems everything has to go to Fender.
Yes, there is a change, but the point of it being 2 different companies is moot.
Besides that, Newc are they paying you to say this **** to people? I swear I've seen it like 200X, not saying it does not need to be said, but it always seems like you're the first on it.
