  • That's probably why they don't do it. Too much chance of customers going "Aww, I really wanted it to look like this other one. Could I get my deposit refunded?"

      • Big Red - but I think Robert Witte owns it still, so next choice would be any of the JCF-02's. Then, a black double Rhoads.

But, that's not going to be my custom order, as odd as that might sound. lol
I fixed the image, this was my dream guitar in May 2004, it's not my "dream guitar" anymore. I'd still like to get this one day.

Get Metallica's lawyer to approve it and they probably would.

All you need to do is send a letter. The worst they could say is no.

Yeah I know it's simple, but funny enough it's like finding a Gibson Explorer that's rear-routed so no front pickguard and with inlays on the fretboard besides cheap-ass dots: sometimes simple is something that's difficult to get.

                          • Mine is simple:

Jackson DK1 - USA Select Series (standard components)
                            Black hardware
Treasure Map Graphic (with my own custom labels)

Sounds simple. I just need a DK1 that has good hardware, neck and no body damage that I can send off for painting.

                            • Dream guitar? Shit, that's tough. Likely, a toss up between a Charvel Star and super Strat from another (now defunct) maker. In either case, it'd have 2 hums, alder body, maple neck, rosewood board, 24 - 27 frets, custom inlays, reversed banana/hockey stick head stock, Floyd routed and floating, 1 vol knob, toggle switch near front lower horn, black hardware, custom graphic or neon-ish color...
Kinda sad, since I have 5 or 6 that almost fit the specs listed but just cannot get a custom ax made exactly to those specs. Always one detail or another...

And with a sustainiac thrown in there.
