Ok so if I showed up to your house wearing my UPS delivery man outfit and handed you a blank check, the only condition being that you had to get a guitar with it, what would you get?

I would get a Soloist/Dinky mahogany body with two hums, vol-tone and 5 way switch, nice dark trans red finish with natural binding, hardtail bridge, sculpted heel and an ebony on maple 22 fret neck with a nice big backshape (built by SULLY), or this:

As far as Jacksons go, I'd ask for another Shannon Soloist. I honestly cannot think of another Jackson more perfectly suited for me.

As for other manufacturers, I'd maybe have to say some sort of 24-fret maple board H/S/H Floyd Rose Fender Strat with EMG-89 neck, EMG-SA middle, and EMG-85 bridge pickups, master volume control, EMG-SPC control, and EMG-EXG control (David Gilmour sort of electronics setup). I'm currently doing my research in buying parts to build something like this, but it will probably end up being 22-fret which I don't mind. See this thread:

Strat Body with a black and green bullseye graphic, Gold Non resesed floyd, 2 Hum, 22 fret maple neck nice and chunky, strat headstock

Neck-through archtop Soloist body in mahogany with 3/4" carved flame maple top finished in Trans Amber, 22 jumbo frets, 24.75" neck with satin finish and Dinky neck profile, ebony fretboard, MOP regular sharkfin inlays, black OFR, 1 slanted humbucker (either EMG 85 or Seymour Duncan EVH), 1 vol, reverse Strat-style output jack (like on a Hamer Californian).

This is basically a cross between a Charvel Model 88 and a Jackson Archtop Soloist Professional.

I would have to say the Archtop Warrior I've been mulling over for a while now. All custom shop of course. made to my specs and it would be a one of a kind (don't get any ideas you bastages [img]graemlins/images/icons/mad.gif[/img] [img]images/icons/mad.gif[/img] [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img] )

Seems like every time I come up with an idea of what my ultimate guitar would be, I soon change my mind and want something else more.

As of right now, my ultimate desire is simple:

Columbia Blue stratbody, single hum, black non-recessed Floyd, maple fretboard, pointy headstock in Columbia Blue and Jackson logo in Red or white.
