Re: What would YOU do???

I'd be a bit PO'd too Pat. It really irks me to hear this type of disrespect or common courtesy and customer service. How about naming the said dealer and/or new purchaser, we can send Newc over there to straighten it all out and make it all peachy Seriously I'd attempt to make contact one more time and if it goes unheard without any form of acknowledgment I'd get ugly and escalate it up the notch of being a pissed off prick, but that's just me.

      Re: What would YOU do???

Well, I just sent him another email, that will be the last one. I will refrain from disclosing the dealer name and new buyer for now, just out of the last bit of respect I have for the dealer. The buyer is really an innocent party here, it's all on the dealer, so there's no reason to go there.

And again, there is absolutely no question and no dispute from the dealer that the money is owed to me. I'm just hoping they're busy, but my patience is about gone on this issue.

      Thanx guys!

You say that the new buyer paid the same as you did for the deposit to the dealer. Why didn't he just give the money to you to let you out of your financial liability on the guitar? How much more is owed on the guitar? If it's close to being paid, could the new buyer just pay you off?

          Re: What would YOU do???

Well Todd, I would have preferred that, but I didn't coordinate it so it was out of my hands. I don't know if the guitar is closed to being paid or not, but I don't know of any custom shop that costs under $2k, most likely much more than that.

I would accept the equivalent from the new buyer, certainly.

          Who knows...

Yeah I agree about the custom shop price.. I'm just a little slow today... Too much rum in too little time...

I'm sure you'll work it out with the new owner and the dealer.

              Re: What would YOU do???

Pat - Provided you, the dealer and the new buyer were all on the same page when the deal was made, than the dealer clearly owes you the $1000.00 back. I suggest you call the dealer and express your concerns. Email is convenient but a phone call will get you better results. The dealer can process your credit card refund while he's on the phone with you. If you paid by credit card then that's how your refund should be issued. If your phone call doesn't yield results, than the dealer is blowing you off. Simple as that!

                Re: What would YOU do???

Sounds like the dealer mailed out a refund check in a plain envelope, which is stupid. Something like that should always be sent in a cardboard envelope.

                  Matt,

Well, I have talked to the dealer, on at least 4 occasions, last week being the last time I've talked to them... And yes, we were all on the same page as I've said before, there's no question nor dispute about the money, it's just not here yet, that's my concern.

Anyway, hopefully this will be resolved tomorrow, so I've been told anyway.

Tuesday, I will reveal the dealer if it's not resolved...

                    Re: What would YOU do???

Sounds like they're just taking their time giving you your money back. They're using your money to run their business with. Either that or they have a horrible memory... which I kind of doubt.

Not sure which dealer you are talking about but since you started the topic and no sign of improvement yet, you should let it out or simply contact Jackson customer service directly.

I'm going to try the "private" forum here first... I really hate to do this, but I will if needed.

                              Easton Guitars...

I'll make a post later this evening, but you guys pretty much know the deal, there's a few things you don't, which I will clarify later...

I've certainly waited long enough for this, and I was expecting another phone call today, which never came...

                              Steer clear!

Well bro, I can definitely relate to what you're saying if it involves Easton Guitars. I'm trying not to spout off here (too much) about KEvs business practices but I will tell you I've had my last dealings with Easton Guitars. Kevin seems like a nice enough guy but he's the most dis-organized business person I've ever dealt with in my life. I'm very tired of hearing his lame excuses, and due to my personal experiences I would NEVER do any "big money" deals with him. That's all I'm going to say (for now).
