    Just checked out a SLATQH Soloist.........

    I was just up @ my local Guitar Center today, and they had a new USA Select SLATQH in there, one of those archtops, that I got to play for a few minutes....What a niiiiiiice playing guitar! First time I ever played on a Jackson without a floating tremolo in it before too, what a pleasure this axe is to play, man. The price tag on it was $1,999.00 though, so it looks like it's gonna be awhile before I can take one of those home with me... [img]images/icons/frown.gif[/img]

    Well, I guess it was yesterday now, but I also played a SLATQH. It was the first Jackson that I ever played without a trem on it. The one I played was green. I offered them $900 for it, but they said NO. It was the first time I had been in this store for over a year and it was there the last time I stopped in.
    It played very nice and I think I could live without a Floyd. [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img]

        I've owned 2, and have another on the way. A SLATQH is the best guitar Jackson ever put out. Did you play one with a painted neck, or raw? Did you get to plug it in & play thru an amp? The MAH neck thru really makes a difference in the tone.

        This is the fist one I bought... Oiled neck... Killer top:

          Thats really nice looking doug, how do they sound for metal? Is poplar/alder better for that?

              It was a painted neck, and yes, I got to plug it in and play it too! [img]graemlins/headbang.gif[/img] Just an awesome guitar, all around; my first experience playing a Jackson hardtail ever, and boy was it niiiice! [img]graemlins/toast.gif[/img]

                Our own Remcarr got me started on SLATQHs. A while back he played one at a local music store and told me I MUST try it out, so I did and I got hooked as well. Damn that Remcarr! [img]graemlins/toast.gif[/img]
                The SLATQH is a very nice guitar. I now have a couple of them myself and they play and sound fantastic! [img]graemlins/headbang.gif[/img]

                    Just found out that mine is in, [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img] ....and on it's way. TBK SLATQH from Matt's music should be here in 2 days, 4 hours, 12 min., and 52, 51, 50, 49.....
