Re: rarer jacksons/charvels
Well, here's a short list others will add to...
- Short wing Rhoads, 7 made
- Aluminum Roswell Rhoads, roughly 120+ made
- Rhoads LTD, I believe around 200 made, some with vintage trem, most with Floyd Rose
- King Kellys with rear and lower cutouts
And the guitar everyone loves to hate, "Zoraxe". Three made, one of which shows up on ebay every other month or so.
- E.Good Lord! The rod up that man's butt must have a rod up its butt!

Re: rarer jacksons/charvels
Maybe you could also add pics of these rare guitars you mention (if you have any, of course)?
That would be awesome!
I've never heard or seen a "Roswellian Star" or "Disrupter" before...

Re: rarer jacksons/charvels
In terms of the 80's era: How many bolt ons do you see with painted necks? Was there ever a neck through Explorer made (remember, I said 1980's)? How about an 80's USA bolt on King V? Three humbucker configurations (or any custom pickup config). Non-Gotoh tuners. Special order inlays. Factory EMG's (with battery clip mounted to control cover plate). Then the almost unlimited possibilities for graphics.

Re: rarer jacksons/charvels
The only two Jacksons I own at the moment are kinda rare. The Professional Dinky HX (string-thru) only about 100 were made in '94. I had two, sold the other not long ago.
And the USA JJP (Jackson Jr. Paul) was made in '96 or '97. Not sure how many were made offhand, but it wasn't that many.
Both guitars are bolt-on, but the JJP has a painted neck.
