I just refinished this jackson body that i got off of ebay.(two years ago) it was advertised as a USA Jackson body but i remember some people here saying they think it is an import. The routes match my 87 soloist perfectly. i am inclined to think it is USA, but i am no expert. my other question is how do i figure out the scale lenght of a body? i have pictures if someone could post them for me, that would be killer. thanks Scott

Did it come with electronic or floyd route covers? Aluminum would probably mean it's USA, unless someone replaced the plastic ones (import)
Look at the screw holes on the back of your USA floyd cover... Do they match up the same? If the middle holes are reversed (staggered opposite) it's probably an import.
Does it say anything in the neck pocket? If it's got initials and a 4 digit number or date, its USA. If it's stamed Model (somethingorother) then it is an import. The 2nd Amendment: America's Original Homeland Defense.

Re: please help id this body
thanks for reply. it has metal cover plates. that is one reason why i bought it. it was refinished rather poorly when i got it, so any evidence of writing in the neck pocket and trem cavity was long gone. looks like it had a jt-6 on it. let me know what you think. i hope this link works. http://img67.photobucket.com/albums/v203/skmoret/
