well it is a drag but what can i do???
BUT [img]graemlins/rant.gif[/img] and [img]graemlins/toast.gif[/img] it a fairwell
would have loved to record some great tunes with it but it wasn't in the cards.
the usps is being a pain they tell me to go get a an est. on the repair cost???
i was excuse me lady there will be no repair cost at least not on this neck
but i will jump thru the hoops to get a few $$$ to buy another neck [img]images/icons/rolleyes.gif[/img]
but its better than a poke in the eye (wait a minute i think this was a fist in the bum) insurance was put on it so i will be off to find another neck

It looks like the whole weight of the guitar hit the headtock on the tip...

There should be more *extra* padding at the top of the box protecting the case... dunno how it was packed, but that might have had something to do with it...

the packing was great
about 5 inches of peanuts around the whole case (extra bubble wrap in between the bubble wrap and the case)
inside the case there was extra bubble wrap around the base of the headstock (string tension was backed off)case was not in good shape!!
i think the circus elephant used it for a stool

Jesus. I have seen more broken guitars in the last few months than in the last couple years. This has mostly been by UPS, but USPS joins in. I have been told by local shippers who actually give a crap about keeping my business that you should NEVER put 'fragile' or 'breakable' on the box of anything of value, particularly large, heavy boxes. Some of these fucking retards use that as a challenge to break your stuff on purpose because they don't want to take the time to lift/move the boxes carefully. Sometimes these guys will just take the guitar boxes and let them drop straight head or bottom first off loading docks. That's how the necks can get so easily broken. Where they give it to you in the ass is if it does get broken, they can say "well, it didn't say it was 'fragile'."
