    i don´t want to sound like steve and i know that studiorecordings can sound very different, but i installed the evos and i can hear some similar things in the sound which you hear on his records.
    more than with any othe pup before.

        I'd say back to the 85 as well and in case you want to go passive, I have 1 word for you: Steve's Special [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img] . no mud, more bite and chunk than a 85, nice PMs etc.

          I'd suggest the Dimarzio Dropsonic. I put it in my JJ Paul and it sounds incredible. It's got big output, sharp harmonics, and a really tight crunch.

                  Another vote here for the Duncan Distortion. Same overall frequency response as an EMG-81, but much "juicier"...
