I just got back from the Chicago guitar show. A more appropriate name would have been the Chicago Gibson Les Paul Guitar show. After about 2 minutes I lost count on how many LP's were there. The Jackson count? 2. A MIJ Roswell the guy wanted $800 for and an all black RR1 the same guy wanted $1500 for. The Charvel count was 0. However, there were about 5 Waynes there if anybody cares.

Re: Chicago Guitar Show
I see very few Jacksons at shows. Rarely ever a USA Charvel (only seen a couple over the past 8 years, one was scored by a dealer). I usually expect to see them at big shows like Philly. However, times like the last hartford CT show I was surprised with a nice SD Charvel Star.

Re: Chicago Guitar Show
I was considering that show, but with all the bus/train connections I would have had to make, it just wasn't worth it. I would have been a lot better off if I just stayed home, arranged my guitar racks in an aisle so I could walk between them and say, "ooooooh... ahhhhhh....".

Re: Chicago Guitar Show
Since a buddy of mine wanted to go to the show I went back for day two for lack of anything else to do. Tucked back in a corner that I missed yesterday was a Trans Green SL1 and a GMW refinished San Dimas Charvel serial #1842. The other two Jacksons mentioned previously were still there.

Re: Chicago Guitar Show
Cool, cool!!
I have been planning on that show since the Dallas show.
I wanted to go to the recent one but couldnt make it...
I am sending in my booth deposit some time this month so I can secure my booth!
Im hoping to have a big bad Vwall Guitars Banner from our forum bro, HuntinDoug!
If its ready in time I'll have that up on the curtain as well as a Jackson Guitars Tapestry.
We all def need to set up an evening after the show to get some grub and hang out!!

That wet beef better do more than fill my hunger for a Rhoads LOL!!!
Thanks for the tip tho!
Im seriouslty anal about these shows and start making lists of what to bring and plotting courses and dinners way in advance.
I have added it to my menu for the Chi Town trip and will be looking forward to it!
Heck, if they're that good, I may have to overnite some home to mama ;-)
Of course I'll give a wet beef/chili dog preview to validate no asswhooping required
