Im seriouslty anal about these shows and start making lists of what to bring and plotting courses and dinners way in advance.

I have added it to my menu for the Chi Town trip and will be looking forward to it!
Heck, if they're that good, I may have to overnite some home to mama ;-)
Of course I'll give a wet beef/chili dog preview to validate no asswhooping required

And Portillos serves beer, which is unusual and a definite plus for a fast food type joint.

Yeah but Villa Park is where Frank Portilio started the business. I like portillios but am spoiled I have one right by my office and rarely go to it but every factory guy or friend/family that comes in from out of town has portilios high on thier list to do. I don't know rhoads good but more than likely I will take you to Portilios buy you lunch and dinner and you will want to give me an SL2HT

you know it too!

I grew up in Grand Haven/Muskegon Michigan and just about every week I think about the great food I grew up with!
I miss it bad. And Ive got my wife hooked uon it too from all the vacations weve been on up there.

In fact, I grew up about 3 hours away from Chicago so I am planning an extra day or two on the trip to go back home and EAT!!!

Actaully it was Sully who said it. But the term "wet beef" refers to pouring extra aus jus on the beef and bread. I find it kinda messy myself. Unlike my women, I prefer my sandwiches dry.

You are the info man!!!

I was wondering about the "wet" issue!

And now that you exposed it, I seem to remember this phrase from my youth!!

Sounds like something right up my alley!

I hate dry wiches...:-)

Aw man... You guys are making me hungry! If you drive to Chicago, stop by St. Louis and try Fortels Pizza Den. It's St. Louis style thin crust, and it's the best thin crust around! Deep dish is good too, but ya just gotta try Fortels! Oh and I like my sandwiches wet too! That aint just a Chicago thing...... Damn now I'm really gettin hungry!!!
