That's a damn shame. Alexi is a killer guitarist, and I think Children of Bodom is only going to keep growing in popularity. IMO, FMIC/Jackson really dropped the ball when they lost him.

Alot of people would say Zakk Wylde is that guy, myself included. I thought (a few years ago) that Dimebag was a candidate too. I think that Zakk should be commended for still playing ripping guitar and remaining productive. He's always got something coming out or he's touring.

We didn't "drop" him. When we got Jackson I got an artist contact list with a total of 3 names on it. By the time I was able to reach his management they told me that "we heard that Jackson's would not be available overseas in the foreseeable future and we needed something ASAP." At that time he had just lost a few of his Jackson's to theft, so he was pretty desperate to move forward. Anyway, he bailed on Jackson based on bad info from a false rumor. Can't say I blame him though, he's got a job to do and he needed guitars and touring support from a company. It sucks, but it's yesterdays news.
