Wow, didn't mean to start a brand loyalty fight here. I play Jacksons because they are the best damned looking guitars I've ever seen. Fenders and Gibsons look like they're made for old men (even the SGs, Vs, and Explorers). Other "metal" guitars just don't look the same as Jacksons. To me, designs by other companies don't hold a candle to the Rhoads, the Kelly, or the King V. BC Rich makes some unique shapes -- probably the most unique in the business -- but they're too much, if you know what I mean. Jacksons are just right. They're awesome to look at, awesome to play, but they still maintain that artistic integrity players look for in a guitar. Ibanez JEMs are just strat copies to me (boring). And if both Jackson and Ibanez play pretty much the same, I'd take the Jackson any day.
Now, getting back to the topic: who else has gigged solely with imports -- I'm really interested in RR5 users [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img]
