Hey guys I'm thinking of getting either a rr1 or rr1t. My question is do they balance good or do they nosedive? I'm set on black with white bevels I'm just trying to decide if I want another floyd or not. Thanks Joe

Re: Rhoads balance question
Bolt-on RR's are nosedivers. As for critical voices regarding the neck-thru ones; If I remember correctly, AlexL said that he didn't like the way the RR1 balanced, but that the RR1T and RR5 balanced fine. But that's the only one I can recall at the moment.

Re: Rhoads balance question
There is no nosediving problem....
HOWEVER... the Rhoads DOES NOT balance like a Strat body, Soloist body or Warrior, it has a balance all it's own, similar to a KV, but not angled as high (which is one reason why I really love my KV).The 2nd Amendment: America's Original Homeland Defense.

Re: Rhoads balance question
RR1 balances fine with a leather or velours type of strap.
Funny note: my Rhoads Pro Japan (neckthru just like RR1) balances a tad better than my RR1, maybe due to its placement of the strap button. Look here for more info: Rhoads Forensic

I think it has a good deal to do with what you are accustomed to using. I have played Vs for over twenty years, and the RRs balance as well or better than the Gibson Vs and the King Vs. For me strat/soloist/dinky guitars balance wrong.
I guess I'll just start posting threads about my soloist that doesn't balance right ...that the play is the tragedy, "Man"
