9 years old?
You should be the youngest member here.

Dinky, yep I'm 9. I'm taking cello lessons at school, and dad is teaching me how to play the guitar.

Thanks for watching my video. Pretty smart 9 year old here! He's got better grammar than some of us older JCFers. They must have really beefed up the curriculum for this generation! Yes, the little dude learns fast. I'm gonna have him teach me a few things on the cello and this computer stuff.

Great kid!!

Re: Yo I\'m a new guy too

If you met him, you'd know his name was Damian. Just kidding! Guitarmageddon? Does that mean he absolutely rips on guitar? Dang, I wish I started playing at age 9 rather than 17... I ignored my dad's great advice. He wanted to buy me a guitar when I was very young but I refused. I then brought it up to my parents again when I was 17 and then finally got a guitar. What a waste of time. I normally don't regret anything in my life, as I am very easy-going, but if there was one thing I might consider regretting, it would be that. I now stick up for kids who play instruments and hope they discover their full potential.

Welcome Damian! (those are root beers, little bro)
How awesome is that that you are guitarin' at age 9!!
Wicked cool, dude.

And Amen to Priest. (boy that sounds weird). I agree with you.
Any kid that wants to learn a musical instrument (including voice) should if at all possible!
My little dude is 4 and wants a guitar for Christmas. YAY!
Kids who grow up being able to explore their musical potentials are smart cookies.
You're lucky, Damian. You got yourself a cool Dad.

Rock on

Dude, I hear you... I meet so many people at university and I forget their names within a few minutes of meeting them. I have THE WORST short-term memory EVER. Maybe I should talk to a doctor one of these days...

Welcome STL! I started playing guitar when I was 12. You have me beat! And Cello. to beat all! If you can master the Cello, you will be a great guitar player!

Jr. hit the hay, dad is on the way to..Wulfe, he was the taller of the two that I had with me that night.... NOTP, when I was 17, in 1985, I sold vacume sweepers door to door and bought King V #J1370 with cash. STLWARRIOR cuts the grass and takes out the garbage to pay for his fiddle. He is going to get to know the snowshovel on a first name basis this winter. LOL

Damian knows his E, A & G cords already. Working on his AC/DC chops.

Talk soon all,
