Beautiful looking guitar! Makes me want to listen to same Ratt CD's or finally get a V-shaped guitar.

Who owns it? Or is it on loan from the Custom Shop?

Brad K (XXX) also owns a Custom Shop version.

I dig the matching head, too. That's not true to the original, though, is it? I thought his had a black head. Or maybe they did that just to make the prototype different from the run?

Re: June 2004 GOTM

Firstly, I'll just say that this is not at all loaded, it's just some thoughts I've had following this thread!
I've been around this board for over 3 years now and witnessed all the discussion over specs for JCF 01, thought about coming in and then backed out as, while they're cool, they're not the guitar for me. Then the subject for 02 was chosen, and again, not for me....
My question is, what makes the JCF guitars so special? If I wanted one, could I not just mail the specs of 'Big Red' to Kevin and get one ordered anyway? OK, it's not one of the JCF series, but surely I'd still be able to get a guitar built to the same specs?
Cheers

well, yes and no.

with jcf 01, we had exclusivity rights, meaning that the jcf series is treated like the ltd series. with jcf 02, it wasn't something that we actively pursued, but we may once again going forward.

ian, i saw ya in that english guitar mag you posted about... it was cool to see!

Yes, you can order the same guitar through the custom shop. However, one of the perks is that the JCF series has special pricing that has been discussed prior to production. (and cannot be discussed outside of the JCF YCE owners.)

oops...

Spoke out of turn, I was never aware of any exclusivity deal.
