And what I'm curious about is if you knew who stole it, why didn't the police get involved to get it back? Seems like they could have found the guy long before 27 years and death. Not meaning that to sound confrontational, just curious.

Also how do you know for a fact that it's the same guitar? did they listed the SN on here and it's a match or are you going with it just looks like the same guitar?

Hey man , you don’t come off as confrontational at all. The police had no idea where to even start looking for the person that took the guitar . I have a feeling they didn’t actually break a sweat trying to find him and I didn’t even know where he lived or hung out . He was a roommate at one point and shortly after moving out , he let himself in the house probably thinking nobody was home. I fell asleep with the guitar next to me . When I woke up , no guitar.
Yes , I recognized the s.n.# and my teeth marks are still in the finish as well. I’ve got the original receipt, pics , etc. It’s a relatively easy guitar to recognize , too. I’ve learned that the statute of limitations varies from state to state. And in some states , there is no statute for a felony. And a felony is anything over 1k. And believe me , dialogue that consists of words like ‘statute’ , ‘felony’ , etc . make me want to puke . But if reaching an agreement fails , the puking is something I can live with.
I’m making progress here , but it’s slow going.
Thank you for taking the time

Made me wonder, what would be our (Jackson/Charvel) version of a guitar reunion story? Perhaps Alexi Laiho being reunited with his 24-fret Rhoads guitars that were stolen from him? Any other examples?
Not sure if it’s the same magnitude since I don’t know much about how Laiho felt about the guitar but Adrian Smith’s San Dimas prototypes got snaked. Somewhere in Spain if I recall correctly.
