  • Help with a valuation as I can’t find one anywhere.

    Hey everyone!

I have a 2003 SLATQH TSB USA Soloist. It’s in nearly perfect condition and plays like a dream. Original electronics and pickups. Re fitted with black hardware in replace of the original gold. All original gold hardware Still in the hard case. I have owned the guitar from new 😊

im valuing it to possibly sell it.

thanks for everyone’s help in advance

There is a couple sold in reverb. I would say from about 2k to 3k. Dont see too many of them floating around.

If you put it up for sale, I would suggest that you restore the gold hardware, having non-original hardware won’t help the price. Could hurt your sale price even. I would sell the black hardware separately

I bought that blue one in the Reverb ad, but didn’t pay that much for it. In fact, I’m struggling to sell it at the moment.

I don't know how is the situation in the US, but I always keep an eye to my local ads, and in my opinion, it depends a lot on the market and country.

As a J/C fan, as many of us, I'm sorry but I have to say that here in Italy for example Jackson and Charvels are very difficult to sell at the moment.
I'm seein ads with USA Jacksons left unsold for months and months, the result is that actually most of the times you have to choose between sell them below their value...or nothing.
With Ibanez (Prestige or J.Craft) the situation is better.

There's a SLATQH sunburst exactly like yours on an ad here, it's on sale for months.

Here it seems that the only brand with a good saleability actually is Gibson.

Thank you for all your advice guys! It’s a beautiful guitar so I may just keep it and sell my Lowden instead 😊👍🏻👍🏻
