Ralph, that's a fair point. That's why i just thought of this as a suggestion.
It's just that i felt a little dumb after i read the first 3 answers as it seems that i missed a big point.

Don't take it personal, dude. It wasn't intended like that, and my apologies if you were offended. My post was intended as tounge-in-cheek humor, not mocking.

I found your request amusing for a few reasons:

a) Gallery updates are few and far between. That's a sign of how busy the JCF admins are already. I consider it lucky for us to get a gallery update at all.

b) Given how busy the admins are, it's pretty clear that adding stuff to the gallery is a fairly time-intensive operation. Adding a "what's new" tag would just add a lot more time for something that - while conceivably nice to have - is probably not exactly a high priority, either. I'm sure there are more important things for the admins to dedicate their limited available time on.

c) It was obvious that you were fairly oblivious to those other considerations. "Deer in the headlights"-like, almost. [img]graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

yeah, it's a labor intensive thing to do. the last update took ralph over 8 hours.

Gotta remeber this too .. We all do this in our spare time.. this isn't a job for us.. Life does move around outside of the JCF ..families,friends hell even picking up a guitar from time to time to actually play.. Ralph just got into a new band ..everything takes time ..so beyond lifes movement are additional duties to be taken care of here ... I;m not complaining, I'm just trying to put it into perspective for you ... so to sit in front of a pc updating gallery stuff for 13 hours is actually quite an amazing feat ....

Thanks for the clarification guys. Yes of course i am thankful for the work the admins are doing (and this really must be a LOT!).
Shreddermon, no offense taken. I just wondered about your answer [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img] It's just that english isn't my native language and sometimes i am wondering if i get everything you guys tell me [img]images/icons/smile.gif[/img]

Sometimes i just wonder if RacerX would be an admin and only take half of the time he uses to correct spelling mistakes and research everything and everyone it would make the life of the existing admins much easier [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img]

LPC don't worry i never wished for this to happen [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img] It was just from the point of view of available time and the absence of real life that would make him quite a good choice for handling such tasks.

I agree... while it may take a lot of time to set up something, it shouldn't be very difficult at all, using either SQL, Cold Fusion, PHP or something, gallery updates can be made pretty easily...

I would also like to see that guitars are listed in serialed order... some seem to have just been added wherever.
