Custom select vs USA select

Sorry guys, its been years since I've looked seriously at Jackson stuff.

Back in the mid 2000s they had a program which I believe they called "custom select". It was a USA select but you could change a few options without paying custom shop prices. If it included woodworking changes, it was full custom shop.

So a few questions related to this:


1) Am I using the right name? Custom select?
2) could you do different inlays or no inlays as an option?
3) did they get different serial numbers or did they all keep the U serials like the USA models?

1. Yes

2. Yes, within limit. Piranha, no inlay, dots and single sharkfin are ok, but they won't do customs.
