Charvel Shipping Box

Hi guys,

I'm new to this forum, nice to meet you all.

I have just purchased my first Charvel. It is a Guthrie Govan caramelised ash model. I need to get a shipping box and deliver it to the person I have purchased the guitar from so he can then send me the guitar.
I wanted to see if anyone here has the measurements of the box that I will need?
My concern is that I might buy a box that is too small for the guitar case to fit in, so i just wanted to see if anyone here has a Charvel box that they can give me the measurements of?

The seller should supply the box. They should be able to go to any music store, and ask for a box. They are usually standard size and they usually just recycle them anyway.....Worst case scenario, UPS store does have a music case box

Yes, I have asked the seller but he said he advertised the guitar for collection only because doesn't have time to go out and get a box as he is working for the NHS. I have also contacted a few guitar stores - Andertons, Guitar Village, etc and at the moment they are not giving out guitar boxes due to the pandemic, as all of their sales at the moment are online so they need to boxes to send out the guitars. Normally they are okay with it.

Is he supplying you with the case attleast? If the case is the standard g&g case then the box should be attleast 12cmx40cmx115cm.

Also what is NHS?

I never got involved with shipping for this very reason.
It is really just a hassle.

He's British. It's the equivalent of the AMA or DoH.

Yes, sorry. The NHS is our National Health Service. The guitar is coming with it's original case which is the Charvel standard moulded case I believe.

But if its one of these cases then the box needs to be bigger

I did a search and the ones i saw came with the SKB case. They are a bit bigger than the G&G cases.

That being said i have shipped many guitars and received only in their cases. BUT only to and from Finland. Also i once received a Charvel 650XL in a gigbag and it made it throught the postal service just fine.
