Does anyone know if in the 80's jackson had a lime green tiger stripe body with a blank neckplate and the serial on a sticker on the headstock? if so any info would be appreciated!

Yes, looks like one of those MF exclusive models with the Ibanez-type control layout that's been refinished.

On the bright side, they upgraded those trapezoid tuners at least.

Still has the Taiwanese serial, but the oval shaped Made In Taiwan sticker is gone.
            Helluva graphic, though.
            96xxxxx, 97xxxxx and 98xxxxx serials oftentimes don't indicate '96, '97 and '98.

When first looked at the pic I thought the stripes were carved into the wood like the Lynch Mr. Scary guitars.
That is a cool looking guitar.

So dudes wife said he painted the guitar himself but it is 100% Jackson. How old I do not know. I will see if he can remove the neck for a picture.

Unlikely he'll find useful stamps in a Taiwanese Jackson, but worth a try.
I can say they were only MIT circa '96 or so.
