  • Saddles for JT-500

    Hello!
I have a question about this Jackson PS-4 performer floyd rose. I believe this is JT-500.

I've broken one saddle and I'd like to replace it. Is it possible to find some decent steel saddles for this tremolo?
I've found this in local store

Vendor says that they are FR1BSSBP 1000 Series Saddle Set. Will they fit?

If you like the guitar and plan on keeping it, buy a new tremolo.
The 500 was not the greatest.

Thank you for your answer. I've considered this scenario too.
What tremolo would you recommend for its money?

The JT500 is similar in looks to a Schaller, so Schaller saddles will work, or you can just replace the trem with a genuine Schaller. https://schaller.info/en/tremolos/359/schaller-tremolo

I have a JDR -94 concept, which is the model the PS-4 came from and I've also owned 4 PS-4's, two of the trans blues and two of trans red ones. I've never had a problem with JT-500 bridges on any I know people have had problems with them and schaller. I would just replace the saddles if I were you and really only the one. I've had plenty of guitar's with schaller's too.
You can just buy a set of saddles for either the JT-500 or 590 they will match in size and the string lock/fine tuner will be the same. I hane a few of both saddles laying around.

They are a good bang for you buck guitar. This is just MO

I know the old saying that the value of an opinion is generally inversely proportional to the strength with which it is held.

For a drop in replacement I'd go with the Schaller toejam posted or you could try to find a JT-590 which was made by Schaller. As far as saddles. the 1000 series Floyd Rose ones will fit as I just put a set in a JT-590 a couple days ago and if I understand correctly the JT-500 is a lower quality copy of it. Schaller sells replacement saddles as well but the 1000 series are cheaper.
