  • Need advice: Changing Charvel San Dimas Seymour Duncan pickups

Does anyone here have experience and really know how to do this correctly? With pics of the wires? Any sites or vids you could point me too?

I want to swap the stock pups on this guitar:https://www.sweetwater.com/store/det...ose-snow-white

For all white versions of the exact same pickups (instead of the black and cream), like this: https://www.sweetwater.com/store/det...kup-white-neck

I can’t find any videos or articles that really show how to do it. Lucas Fowler has one, but he isn’t just swapping out the pick ups; he’s replacing a lot of the electronics, and his hands are in the way of the camera, and he edits the video to skip the actual explanation of which wires, which pots, etc.

    Thanks for any help!

Just take one out at a time and put the wires back in the same place. You can even snip a little piece of wire off as you remove one to show you where they go in case you get confused.
Seymour Duncan has all kinds of wiring diagrams on their site.

I know the old saying that the value of an opinion is generally inversely proportional to the strength with which it is held.

Excellent, thank you. I’ve been curious if it was any more complex than that because of the push volume control or tone bypass. Didn’t know if those affected what should basically be a basic soldering job.
