For instance I just found this Bengal Soloist, unsold since 2008.

    Of course I couldn't resist.

Edit: pictures not working...like 20 years ago.

And just how good of a deal did you get on said Soloist?

IMHO Imgur is the easiest and best picture hosting website now.

Uff i posted it in the FB group, I might try Imgur...used to have tinypics but it has been killed.

So the guitar is an ex demo with few tiny scratches on the back and I need a new guitar like a third eye, I paid the 2008 price -10% I think.

Due to the fact I already have two soloist (a '90 Professional and a 750XL) I wasn't sure, but I assume that due to the fact all American selected series are discontinued I consider it a sort of investment.

The serial number is U21009 and it was built the 24th of April 2008 according to the paperwork.

Here with a neck through friend...same quality I would say.

Apologies for the ugly sofa but I assume you also wanted to see the back.

SG3000 please! One of the last 40 produced in 2009..also left unwanted in a shop for ten years...seriously it's unbelievable. While I understant Steel Panther is not for everybody that is a great guitar for almost everything.

Thank you guys... now the elephant in the room: I usually avoid HSS guitars because the humbucker has much more output than the single coils and I need to set up pedals and amp differently from SC....I am not a fan of the JB.

The classic stacks (old model) are ok and I have a rough cast Alnico 2 bar ready, what would be a the best thing to do? Swap the JB for a Demon? Test the Duncan Hot stacks? To be honest I don't want to used minihumbuckers like the hot rails and I would like to preserve the look of the stock guitar.

                      Ok, so it did happen.

That will make a nice investment.

If it were mine, I would leave it bone stock. Keep in mind I have plenty of other guitars to play.

I wouldn't embarrass myself writing here how many guitars I have but...you know... it's a great axe made to be played. So...JB2? Demon? Hot stacks? Hot stack plus? YJM?

                          Practice your '84/'85 Lynch riffs.
8 strings? Because 6 is too easy?

what kind of sound are you looking for from the mid/neck single coils? all my suggestions are "true" single coils for max strat sound, but from your posts it sounds like that's not what you're looking for.
