• Att. Canadian Jackson Lovers

Steve's Music (Toronto) Has a crapload of Jacksons in the showroom.

The last time I saw THAT many.. it was 1987! (No Joke)

I counted most of the product line. (2 rows, + a few on a back wall)

The cool thing was a row of US Jacksons opposite a row of ESP guitars.

A couple of highlights: DK-1 with a cool "Metal Rivet" paintjob.

A clean Black Kelly with Gold pinstripes.

    KILLER Bengal Tiger RR1

FMIC must be pulling out all stops.

For you Americans, Steve's is the second largest chain in Canada, this winter, they had only 4 or 5 Jacksons. (Imports)..

This is a BIG DEAL! ( At least to me)

I'll look at the Steve Music store in Montreal if they have such a nice Jackson Collection. Last time I went there they only had imports.

Long & McQuade started carrying US Jacksons about 6 months ago. The store near me has about 5-6 on hand usually, not bad. I have not seen a US Jackson in Steves in 15 years. Oh well I gave up on Steves after shopping there for years, now I like L&M better and another big independant in Montreal. I went about 12 years without seeing a US Jackson in Canada, so these are better times for sure.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">It's great to see that they're finally carrying some USA made Jacksons. They're prices are a little bit high though. I've been in there quite a few times drooling over the KV2T in silver swirl they have. I'm very very tempted to buy that guitar, but $3099 cdn (2,295.22 usd) + 15% sales tax is too much.

P.S - 2load, did you notice that Michael Angelo is doing a free clinic at Steve's on June 17th.

I was at Long & McQuade in Ottawa yesterday and DAMN!!! I was happy to see a few USA Jacksons and a few Jackson imports there! Believe it or not, it was actually the very first time I played USA Jacksons besides my own Shannon Soloist. Tried out the snakeskin SL1, black ghost flames RR1 (which balanced VERY well sitting down in the classical position), and silver black dragon WR1 (incredible neck on that one). Even the JS30WR Warrior seemed well-built. Crusty old strings and sticky necks made it disgusting to play, but it was still nice to see those guitars there. Then a bunch of pop-punk kids came in and molested the DK1 with their master-wankery.

Every time I go into that store it's a religious experience. I'm from London, ON, so my local selection is limited mostly to Ibanez, Fender, and Gibson... every time I see a Jackson or an ESP I get pretty excited. One more reason I need to visit TOronto more often!
