  • New here… trying to find a tremolo

New here… Just acquired a Jackson Joker and I’m trying to find a tremolo for it… was hoping to be able to post a pic but I guess I’m just not tech savvy enough to figure it out… in the middle of bumf**k Kansas with no close resource… HELP!!

Might also include the fact that I know little about Jackson guitars… so if you can dumb it down like you were telling a youngster… or even a golden retriever ?????

attachments don't seem to work on this site.

go to the website https://postimg.cc and use that page to upload a picture or two. you can even go to that page and drag/drop pictures from your computer. once they upload it will provide you a link to the pictures you uploaded. something labeled like "link to this gallery". copy that link and paste it here

I found a pic of a Jackson with a Joker theme art on
                pintrest.
                IDK if it's a Soloist, or Dinky. I don't think it's a USA.

                White
Reverse heafstock, reverse shark peraloid inlays.
                Black script on white headstock.

                Covered humbucker
                Single neck pickup

                Pickup switch
                Volume knob
                Tone knob

Tremolo looks like a Schaller but IDK about Tremolo history with Jackson.

Joker as in from a card deck, not a Batman Joker.

The pic cuts off the top of the point, but
there is something there. I can't make out
                Professional or something else.

Okay… so I’m learning as I go here… it’s a Floyd Rose bridge with a “Jackson” logo on it

                    is the trem like this?
The Jackson JT6 is a Floyd Rose licensed Vibrato made in Taiwan used on early Charvel Import guitars. The tremolo is made of pot metal and the tremolo block comes in 3 sizes: 32mm, 37mm and 42mm.

                    or this?
The Jackson JT-590 is a Floyd Rose type tremolo made by Schaller in germany. Parts are interchangeable with the Original Floyd Rose except for the locking bolts. The baseplate is made of zinc. There are also Charvel and Gibson versions of the exact same tremolo.

not knowing anything about the provenance you can't preclude a 580 or 580lp, either

The JT580 tremolo is a licensed Floyd Rose tremolo made in japan by Takeuchi and given the Jackson brand. It is actually the Takeuchi TRS-101.

The Jackson JT-580LP tremolo is a licensed Floyd Rose tremolo made in japan by Takeuchi. It's also known as the Takeuchi TRS-PRO.

edit: okay, usa then it's definitely a 590

The Floyd Rose Original and 1000 series arms both work in the JT-590 but the 1000 series is cheaper.
