  • Custom shop (both master build and custom select) lead time for 2024

I was wondering if anyone recently has got a quote for J/C custom shop lead time. I don't quite remember clearly, but I heard some people are waiting for 4 years and on going for their order. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

I was quoted 2 years for an order I placed last December. It’s a custom select. Unless you’re really fortunate, masterbuilt isn’t even an option right now. Some people I’ve seen have been waiting about 4 years, but there’s also a handful of folks who have gotten their orders in less than a year.

Dang. I just got a reply about Charvel custom shop, I got 14-18 months quote. I did specifically ask if that lead time is for Custom Select or Masterbuild, but they did not specify that. So, I am assuming it would be just Custom Select.

I ordered my custom select in 2020, received a similar quoted timeframe (14-18 months) and then got mine in a little over 3 years. hopefully the back up isn't as much now, but I don't know.

Thank you for the info. It seems that the shop is not even considering Masterbuild orders at all.

Man, I just want to put TOM bridge on a telecaster.

What pickup configuration? Standard Tele or 2 hums? If 2 hums, here you go.
San Dimas® Style 2 :: Joe Duplantier Signature Pro-Mod San Dimas® Style 2 HH E Mahogany, Ebony Fingerboard, Natural (charvel.com)?
