Fender's Takeover of Jackson

When exactly did Fender takeover Jackson? More specificaly, from what date forward would a completed Jackson guitar be considered a "post-Fender" or "Fender-era" guitar?

It was right around the time of the change over from the old EZboard.
That was around 11-02.
I think 10-30-02 was the 1st day Jackson was under FMIC control.

Actually, the Janet has no input jack or wiring. It's strictly for show only as it will only be used in "air guitar" capacity while she's lip synching at all her live shows.

I was reading about the unseating-frets problem that seems to be somewhat common on late pre-Fender Jacksons, so I just wanted to know the date because I am consideriung buying a guitar that I thought was from that era, but its' not.
