Older Kelly models?

I just came back from a visit to a local shop. They had an older Kelly hanging up high in their used section which I was unsure of what it was exactly. It was all white, ebony fretboard, neckthru body construction and only 1 Seymour Duncan pickup. I also thought it read "Professional" on the headstock but was hard to see from the distance. Any Ideas?
They also had newer Kellys instock, my second question is how do older ones compare to the newer USA Kellys?

Well it did look like the Picture posted by DiabloMozart. So thats the Freidman? hmmm no tone knob, didnt notice that before

actually a friedman (ke-1)has a kahler fixed bridge...mine's got a floyd [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img] ...but it is a variation on his theme...the one you looked at could be like mine...or it could be a custom shop...ask for the serial number...d.m.

oh yeah...as far as comparison?...they're all very nice...as long as they're usa or very early professional (but i don't see how the one you found could be...i've never heard of a pro kelly with only 1 humbucker)...so if it's a good price, i'd advise you to snag it...you'll more than likely love it...d.m.
