Man, the reason I'm asking this is, because I'm tired of waiting for my 1st Jackson, do you think this would be a good buy for a 1st Jackson, or do you guys think I shall wait a while??? In a way, I don't know which option to choose, so I would be glad if you guys could sorta assist me in what YOU WOUlD do!!! That's not bad for the price... I can't tell if its Japanese made or made in India. If its made in India, I would wait and find something else. Try a Jackson Professional series from the 90's. I just snagged one off eBay for $400 shipped. Neck thru too... can't wait to get it!
Can you guys help identify the eBay guitar that I posted a link of??? The buyer said he bought that guitar 3 years ago at Guitar Centerfor $450. Also, what does GMW and GAS mean!?!?!?
It looks like a DK2 reverse!?!? GMW is apparently one of the best custom shops you can find. They do unbelievable work. G.A.S. stands for Gear Acquisition Syndrome (sp?). I think you've already caught it.
I agree with Racer X, I think/but I don't think it's a DX10D. If it is, I don't want it . But then again, when you compare the 2 pictures, the one on Jackson's site has 3 knobs and that push-pull thingy, while the eBay one has 2 knobs. Also he said he bought it at Guitar Center 3 years ago for $450, and the serial number is 00071015 and was "Made in Japan". Can you guys identify this model by looking at the serial number???
the pic that you're referencing from the Jackson site is the DX10DFS, not the DX10D. It has the Firestormâ„¢ Boost Switch & Intensity Control, which accounts for the extra knob and push-pull thingy
VitaminGlycol , thanks for noting that out!!! After I compared the DX10D to the eBay picture, I think RacerHex was right, that guitar is a DX10D which i really don't want.
Hey guys, what are your opinions on the DX10D Dinky (The "Made in Japan" ones, of course ???)
For a first guitar, I would go with a Soloist. They are neck through, very versatile, and very comfortable to play, which is iportant for beginner and intermediate level players. You can get just about any sound out or them. The Japanese SL-3's are a real bargain right now and can be had new for $600 if you haggle hard enough. If you are willing to pay twice as much, the SL-1's are a little more guitar overall, but they are both great guitars.
The Rhoades and Kelly are wonderful guitars as well, but a little awkward to handle at first even for a seasoned player. I have never handled a Warrior so I cannot comment.
I think I probably will end up buying a Charvel 650XL, after reading how this particular model was a lot of people's 1st guitar, or even 1st "real" guitar. Is the 650XL neck-thru, I still will probably end up buying it even if it's not neck-thru, I just want to know? Do any of you guys have 650XL's if so, can you PLEASE post pics, also, how much does the 650XL go for around here and on eGay (oops. , I meant eBay. jk. )???
