Removing the finish off an import charvel neck?

I didn't know if this should go in the improt charvel section ( actaully it probobly should)..but I know some of you guys have probobly removed the finish off a model series bolt on..I want to strip one and oil it.....what methods do you modders suggest?

40 grit and Crisco baby!!! Yeah! It'll have that nice rough greasy kinda back-woodsy feel. You'll love it!
(or you could go with NOPs suggestion)
