Here is my halogrid. The body is a Kramer copy by Doug at Trillian. The neck is a Kramer Sambora. The pickups are Duncab JB bridge and PRS Vintage Bass at the neck. Topped off with an OFR.

        Damn, I love this Interweb.

Here's my feeble attempt at recreating Randy Rhoads' Polka Dot V. My white Jackson LTD copy is coming along, and it looks better. I should be done with it in about 1 1/2 months.

Yeah, I did one a few years back...
I have a ton of pics but here is a few for now.

I have number 2 in the process right now.
It will be just like this one but 1 hum with a reverse headstock and ebony board...
prolly take me another 3 years to finish it
            lol

                hehhee!
                Thanks bro!
I would love to market them but I'm not set up to mass produce...

I'm not sure what finish will be on number 2.. I'm thinking of doing a swirl again just so they match.
I'm also going to cut out the lower horn a bit more so I have better access...

I will post a thread when I get around to working on it more.
ATM I've had the ebony fretboard on order for over a month....
That will really get me going to finish it...

                  Re: homemade guitars?

Scott, how difficult is it to do a swirl like that? Actually, I always wondered just how the finish on Vernon Reid's ESPs was done. I believe that was called the "Kulick" finish....

                    Re: homemade guitars?

Well, I'm just about finished with a project. I just need to finish cutting the nut, install the Kahler lock nut, and do a final setup.

The body is a Warmoth V-2 Rhoads style that I got from an Ebay auction - I believe it is poplar. The neck is a San Dimas that feels great - I picked this up from Newc. EMG 81 in the bridge, EMG 85 in the neck, Kahler Pro, misc. hardware is from Warmoth. Crappy camo paint job courtesy of $18 worth of spray paint from Fred Meyer. Another guitar that I can proudly say that no matter how bad it looks from a distance, that's still better than how it looks up close.

I want REAL change. I want dead bodies littering the capitol.

Actually that camo job isn't too bad. I like the offset V shape on that body too. Something different. And you know I'm wild for reverse headstocks.

I'm drawing up plans to build a Skull & Bones like Kammo1's.
I still keep practicing though.... Mostly because I hate my neighbors.-MakeAJazzNoiseHere

                              Thanks Guys!
I'll get some prelim pics of its brother up soon.
Vitamin~ The swirl paint job, originally called the bowling ball finish, was done from the same guy that did the bowlingball strats and the swirled Jems. Darren at Aboiut Time Designs.
He's a buddy of mine and we swapped out some parts/pups for the paint job.
It was a good trade ;-)
Im still tossing around if I want to swirl the reverse headstock one or do some graphic....
