I agree that the Scott Ian "Extortion" logos are pretty cool. Also, in one of the Jackson catalogues there was a guitar with a Dick Tracy paintjob, that had a cartoon-ish logo. Are there any other examples of non-conventional logos out there?

Remember that Star Trek guitar that was around here last year? That had a cool logo that had stars airbrushed on it.

Hey Jim, You mention that they started using inlaid pearl logos in 88. My 87 student arch top (JA0033) has a pearl logo with no "made in USA" or "tm."

Is this Rare?

No, that is just one of the earliest. I suspected they started in '87 as I had a neck I was sure was an '87 with that logo, but hadn't found another until I saw some archtops in recent times. I will fix that at some point.

That disrupter logo is more or less the same as on my maple top Roswell Rhoads....If someone can host pics for me, I'll mail 'em pics of all the unusual logos on my guitars!

Hey Jim, I live in Argentina and bought a used RR1, which has a 'shaded' pearl logo, (R), schaller /Jackson bridge & kahller locking nut. The serial is miss aligned (string spacing) and it's 3xxx => tweaked. I think could be stolen in the past. Can you date it / tell me if SD or OT, or anything else?

Resource is useless, It's RR3xxx. So it must have been changed for some reason. Anyway, does shadded pealr+(R)+ schaller bridge+kahler lock nut say something about the guitar?
