Do different shapes/colors/materials on headstock logos tell anything? Or, is It only a matter of "looks"?

Re: Jackson logo?
other than the early gold hand painted rhoads logo which also appears on some early solos/v's ,etc......you really dont see color /style variations [other than black] until jackson switched from the decal type to the silkscreened logos...then size, color, and material variations exist...john

I'm not too crazy about the 3-on-a-side Jackson headstocks but I do have a weakness for abalone! That is gorgeous!!!! My goal in life is to be the kind of asshole my wife thinks I am.

Re: Jackson logo?
Just for interest - I have 3 Jacksons with unusual Logos:
Prototype XTRR (Cartoon logo - the only one?)
NAMM V (small hand drawn script type)
NAMM Dinky (silk screen logo but right near the end of the headstock)
I think they're all in the gallery, but I can't post pics at the moment....
Cheers

Re: Jackson logo?
that crackle guitar logo must be a very late '86 if dimas serialized....the usa is after the N......is is screened or a decal ? I like the 3x3 jackson headstock, it retains the character of a pointy , and if youre thinking non trem or non locking trem , the straight string pull design of it is the only one you'd want to do so....john
