Rock and porn are very similar and inextricably entwined. If that's distasteful to you, sitck with jazz - where it's heroin instead of slutty babes.

[ QUOTE ]
I for one am not offended by it, I think it has it's place, but it shouldn't be there. I was reading guitar mags when I was in 6th grade, my one daughter gets drumming magazines and it does get offensive when you can't even let em look at it if this is what's going to be in it , And IMO there's a HUGE difference between this and the Dean girls. She's a high paid prostitute, Then you have to explain "no, she doesn't play guitar she plays the skin flute"

[/ QUOTE ]

Actually in this context she is a model. So what if she fuckeda goat, she is decent to look at. Anybody underage that knows what she has been doing with her hole has either been told something they shouldn't have or seen something they shouldn't have. Give her a break maybe it will lead into something that doesn't invlove licking ditch.

Sluts and guitars go together, many a guy has used a guitar to get an easy piece of ass. I don't care if she's a porn star, whore or whatnot, its not my place to judge what others do with their life. I have my own to worry about. Obviously you have not taken much a look at some of the guitar heros you idolize, the are some of the seediest sleeziest people around. If you are truly offended by Jenna then you should be offended by 90% of the rock bands out there. Its music-something to listen tp not a model to live your life by or a medium to teach your kids moral values to live buy. If you want moral values to teach your kids give them a bible not a music mag.

Re: Jenna and Jackson again

Sorry, guess I'm just naive, maybe I'm just stupid thinking music should be about music. But I guess if that were the case there would be no Britney Spears Backstreet boys or 95% of the hair metal bands from the 80s out there. And if my kids want to play music and read about it they just shouldn't have to see this ****. I wouldn't blame her,its Jackson. Would you buy a Rhoads because of her, or Randy? They saw her poster In a local music store with sexually explicit things written on it and noticed it was a Rhoads cause I have one and I caught em before they could read what was on it. And it's pretty f-d up to tell my kids they cant read about the instruments they play cause theres sluts in em. Put em in Maxim or Penthouse or wherever. There's a place for everything. Sorry my opinion seems to offend everyone. Apparently noone else has daughters here.

Re: Jenna and Jackson again

I have a daughter, and she could care less about who's posing with guitars in the mags. And yea, she plays a little guitar. She probably just assumes that it's some guitarist she's never heard of from some band she's never heard of, like most of the "guitarists" in endorsement ads in the magazines.

If she was to ask who that woman posing with the Rhoads was (and I can't see any reason why she would, given that she's never asked me for the names of the people posing with clothes/skateboards/board games/household appliances/toys in the other catalogues to be found around our house), I don't see any reason to explain to my 9 year old what other things the model might do for a living.

What sexually explicit stuff was written on the Jenna poster in the store? Surely that wasn't Jackson's doing?

That's F*up and I hear where you are coming from. Kids are growning up way to fast to be kids anymore. My boy is 14 lives with his mom and I can't even really try to shut some stuff down cause its to late. My woman has her kids in private school and its about the only way to keep them from being adults in 6th grade. I know what you up against and it is pretty raw when the kids come home with questions about a porn star when they are 12 years old. But it also raises the point of look at all these people that are endorsing products. Almost all have or have had drug addictions, run ins with the law, let alone appearance. Its definately something to be aware of when raising kids.

I am straight up with my boy he knows my past good and bad ect. I want him to be streetwise and aware of what's out there and to make his choices because he is aware of what the wrong decisions do to your life. On the other hand my womans kids are sheltered and have no idea what's out there.

Apparently she wrote it. It's been a while since I saw it, I assume it was from a guitar show or something?

Fwiw, jazz was the rock of the early 20th century. It pissed all the religious folk off because it was tied so strongly to sex. Even the word "jazz," when used as a verb, meant "f*ck." Take a look here for a few other interesting jazz terms: http://69.5.7.106/board/showthread.p...threadid=56540

Btw, girls may go for the rock stars, but jazz gets the real women off. All it takes is a few measures before they wet themselves, especially if you can sing.

Kenny G is NOT jazz. Go listen to Joe Pass or Charlie Hunter or Thelonious Monk or even some (just some) Rat Pack stuff and see if the same line works. See, they think jazz players are intellectual, sophisticated, deep, while we're usually just wanking off without peer in the music world.

Actually it's the clothes. Jazz players do dress well, which a sophisticated woman sees as a sign of intellect and decent income potential.
Put the same guy in a Eminem or GnuMetal suit and she's thinking greasemonkey or garbageman

[/ QUOTE ]Your beef is with the music store for putting it up, not Jackson or even Jenna. People come up to have her sign a poster and probably suggest the lines themselves. Trade shows of almost ALL industries have hot spokesmodels; ever hear of the Ridgid Tool Calendar, a collectors' item in the plumbing trade. OJ's ex-GF Gretchen Stockdale was Miss Makita; I have a poster of her holding a bigass drill. Now she's an attorney, so the gig can be a steppingstone. Why should guitars be any different as anindustry than power tools, cars, boats, or pretty much anything else you care to name?I understand your aggravation about the poster's lewd comments being where your daughter could read them, but again, you need to take that up with the music store.
